Introduction
Village Development Plan provides a vision of how we would like to see our village. We through our planning, set out the goals for achieving this vision by charting out a roadmap and by giving a timeframe we achieve these goals in an integrated manner. Objective oriented economic and social development including the basic infrastructure, health and education are always the important aspects of village development planning.
Objective
The overall objective of the workshop is to build the practical capacity of participants on how to prepare a comprehensive village development plan.
The specific objectives of the training workshop are;
- To build the capacity of participants on the practical art of preparing technically sound village development plan by watching the economic,
- social and human development needs of the population inhabiting the selected village.
- To clarify participants on the scope and level of village development planning in compliance with standards followed by state development agencies and international organizations.
- To explain the basic approaches used in village development planning and their appropriateness for village development planning in Pakistan.
- To enable the participants to prepare their own substantial village development plans by following the guidelines provided in the training.
- To assist the participants in drafting of comprehensive plans of action, monitoring and evaluation plan and achievement of various milestones of village development.

Training Methodology
The workshop will be based on the idea of providing value able knowledge tips and suggestion for onboard preparation of village development plan with a focus on experiential and interactive learning. There will be content based lectures, practical exercises, group discussions, role playing, presentations and energizers.
